If it is at all possible to get an earlier flight you may want to. They say it isn't supposed to start until Sunday night but that is hard to predict. If this is anything like last year's storm it's going to cause a lot of damage here. We heard that PP&L is already calling in additional personnel from the sister company in Louisville.

So where do you think Sandy will be between the hours of 1pm-6pm Sunday? starting to worry about how it's going to effect our flight home from SWFL to Pa.... :(

The projected landfall is between Delaware and NYC and is expected to go inland from there. A second storm is heading east and the combonation of the 2 will dump up to a foot of snow in SW PA/KY down to Memphis. Make sure your generators are working and pleanty of fuel.

Last year at this time during the storm that dumped the early wet snow on us our standby generator ran for 5 days and we had a pretty large tree fall. That was an expensive storm having to fill the propane tank that the generator used and having the tree removed. The good thing is that the price we pay for propane is way down right now. Here's hoping that if the generator has to run, it doesn't run long and nothing falls.

Since we knows shes coming, but dont know where she will land. A place to touch base.
I hope everyone finds the time to secure their property and prepare. Since it was the end of summer we are in good shape with stuff around the yard. So all we have to do is wait! I hope it passes you all safely. joan* |
