Ah, now I know what you meant. It may be just a matter of timing - was the trial already over, awaiting result of deliberations, when the son came forward? If so, why did he choose to wait? Was he afraid to speak up or is someone else orchestrating events to keep the trial first and foremost in the public's eye? (I'm not expecting you to have the answers, KD! I'm just pondering a few ideas.)

Kind,
I don't think there's much danger of Sandusky being found not guilty. The real shame is he could have been stopped long before he was if a few people would have just stood up for the sake of the kids. Steve |

I just cannot understand why 'it was not presented at the trial.' I guess it might not be truth, but not for nothing, one side of every trial is not the truth.
I don't know, I've been keeping up on some of the trial, not all but have my opinion. If it is true and the verdict comes in innocent, well, that would just piss me off. |

KD, I'm not a lawyer but my understanding is juries can only consider the evidence presented AT the trial. The allegations from Sandusky's adopted son will need to be addressed at another trial if he or the state chooses to pursue it.

I believe that there is a big reason, whatever it may be, that the "adoptive son" was not called to testify for the prosecution, so what it was even brought up after the jury was sent for deliberations blows one's mind. It's called the media, tabloid TV.

If this is true, does anyone else find it incredibly odd that the jury has not been told this before they began deliberating!!! --
CBS News) BELLEFONTE, Pa. - The jury in the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse trial enters the second day of deliberations Friday. But the sequestered panel does not know about an explosive new allegation by one of Sandusky's sons. According to a statement by his lawyers, Matt Sandusky, 33, said he was a victim of abuse by his adopted father and was prepared to testify for the prosecution at the trial. |
