I can't believe I spelled "stoichiometry" wrong. I just saw the red underline and figured why bother there's no way the spell check here knows that word.
Media is demonstrating their mass ignorance with this story. I can't count how many stories are calling this a "meteor shower". It's not a fucking shower. Although the difference between a meteor and an asteroid is subjective, a true asteroid would be a total calamity if it collided with earth. This is an well above average meteor. The energy released is being estimated at 500 kt TNT. My estimate of 100-400 kt is not really that bad! Woo hoo! |
