More risk any smart employer would not accept..." I call bullshit...I have hearing loss due to previous jobs...but it was a non factor in any job interview I went for in the last 10 years. If you have depth perception issues how can you leagally drive??? I would assume you would have driven off a cliff into one of the strip mines up there by now. Suck it up Dude, quit making excuses and start making a living!!!

But I do not see any self employed field in which there is profit for those who cannot pass Algrabra with more than an 3.8 GPA. or a high B. Sadly the war issue is becoming more a point to my part of the generation... You are older, you voted for the war hawks who took us into Iraq 1, has kept us in Korea and garrisoning the world. At the least we are closing the wars you and the right want to keep going. you can't win against these people by being civilized and we aren't prepared to go do what it takes to improve their lives... Which woulds start with a hundred years of occupation on the level of which Saddam did to his people... Killing anyone and their entire family who oppsoes our control. Where the fuck is the upwards mobility in society? These are the minimums which builds a better society.. A stronger economy. Work without medical coverage, work without upward mobility is not a fair days pay for a fair days work. What part of writing books, what part of selling 3d models online, what part of selling book ideas to agents so to become published isn't manning up and taking control of my life? My school system groomed its charges to be factory workers, told anyone less than a 8.8 gpa to not even try for college, which by the way is the only way an employer worth working for is going to accept your employment. If you think there are work worthy jobs without an education... SHOW me the evidence, because there aren't any that are providing medical, upwards mobility and a real pay.

And guess what, I don't complain, nor do I feel like the man is keeping me down...do you want to know why?? Because I have a fucking back bone and would prefer to to work for a good living rather than bitch about not making any money or having a girlfriend. Guess what, while you are watching the fog roll in this weekend, my wife and I may just go out and spend some of that slave wage I made this week at a club or a motel getting laid :-)

No one makes it anywhere alone and to retain the warlord mentality which gave us feudalism and the robber barons... is to retain the dog eat dog world view. It is unacceptable and you are losing this war with each election cycle. You can either shorten the period of painful change or you can create more debt, pain and suffering of your countryman by accepting that your standard of living is artificially high based upon stepping on those under you... Not they helping you up.

I've never worked in a factory. Several times, I have been paid MORE than my boss. Currently, I'm self-employed and pay for my own medical benefits. And I am no more responsible for war than you are. 3) Based on your posts, the lesson in having a work ethic was lost on you. No one owes you anything if you're not willing to work. A fair day's pay for a fair day's work--but you have to work. Apparently, all you've learned is how to whine, how to blame your fear and lack of effort on others, and how to play the victim. You are the only one who controls your future. Man up and take control.

Until then, I work as hard as I am paid... and no one in Hazleton or the surrounding areas are paying unskilled inexperienced uneducated persons anything more than minimum wage or demand too much risk from said persons.

I fully support immigration reform, I am pro choice, I am absolutely pro gay, I am an atheist. I posted that earlier in response to another forummer in another topic. Only to read Bobby, less than five minutes later proclaiming: Conservatives on these forums are concerned with the environment and more drivel to completely contradict what I posted. Someone like Robert, one day will one day face a serious wake up call. Maybe that will shake him up a bit and out of his dream world. I certainly hope so.

Oh and then there was that whole recession thing caused by people risking everything buying businesses and homes.... Without having the money to pay for it. 2) Yes you did lower your standards. You worked the factories and other places for less pay compared to the new bosses who raised their own pays. You accepted when the new bosses said they couldn't provide medical. You even put more wars on the nations credit card without accepting your responsibility to pay for them out of your own pockets with taxation. You accepted a lowered standard of living... And never demanded better as you watched the bosses close one factory after another and sent them to other countries... where your bosses exploited the workers as they wanted to exploit you. "My parents taught me the value of a good work ethic. Too bad your parents didn't teach you the same lesson." Oh my parents did teach me the value of a good work ethic... They also taught me ethics. You don't get to demand work when you pay the minimum and do not provide pay raises or improved standards of living after a year. They taught me the price of gambling by allowing me to gamble my earned money away in the churches fun fest.... Where I as a 10 year old burnt through 3 years of saved money.. (about 200 USD earned by doing chores and or cutting other peoples yards... as a small child not even out of the third grade) So yes, I learned hard lessons as a child... Gambling is a losers game. You aren't likely to win and do not control the odds of winning.

The feel-good politically correct teachings created a full generation of kids with no concept of reality, and how this concept sets them up for failure in the real word. To all kids any age. Rule 1: Life is not fair -- get used to it! Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself. Rule 3: You will NOT make $40,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both. Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss. Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping -- they called it opportunity. Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them. Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you are. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room. Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life. Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time. Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs. Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.
