"Courage in a women is often mistaken for insanity."
Another one of my favorite quotes. I know that the author was a doctor treating one of the women, who were incarcirated. for a protest for women's right to vote.
Anyone know who it is?

Thanks for the food for thought, for I've only heard the MT reference. It will give me something to do with some spare time.

Cheers.

Actually, I don't think it is...

I've heard a half a dozen confirmed "sources" for it. Mother Theresa, Ben Franklin, Abe Lincoln, Mark Twain and John Corry (yeah, I've never heard of him either) have all been associated with it.

On the anonymous side, I've seen a claim that it was a French Legionnaire, an old Navy saying and an Army motto from Vietnam. One source I found said he heard it when he was working in a pizza parlor 30 years ago (before anybody outside of Calcutta had even heard of Mother Theresa).

The only thing everybody seems to agree on is that nobody is certain.
