C4MA, include your hand or foot in the photo and it becomes legit. Trust me.

OK. Not arguing - it was my understanding, which has been known to be wrong at times.

I'm not Jewish, but several Jewish friends assured me Oy Vey means Oh S--t, in case someone finds the word bothersome.

I didn't mean the sign. I meant the translation of "oh vey!".

For any of you doubters, I am willing to take a picture of the sign the next time I cross one of the bridges. But SLS would never allow me to post a picture of just a sign.

Thank you, NJNY: It is “Oy Vey”. But it still means “Oh Shit”.

Vabeach: Sorry, it never said “Oh my goodness”. NYC could never be so polite.

I always thought it had a somewhat more G-rated tone, more along the lines of "Oh my goodness!"....

c4ma: is it really "Oh Vey" on the signs? or... Oy Vey! (which i sometimes say too along with a couple other yiddishisms)

There is a sign on each of the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg Bridges as you are driving from Brooklyn en route to Manhattan (NYC) that reads, “Leaving Brooklyn, Oh Vey!”

In case you are having a senior moment and can’t recall what “Oh Vey!” means, it is Yiddish for “Oh Shit!”

Fun! Good to see you man.

Did you see when he went on Letterman to give the Top Ten Reasons he froze up during the debate? He then said there were three reasons... and then couldn't remember them all. Ha.
