Last year, the very last couple the ex and I met just happened to be on election night. The fact he didn't know when to shut up about his opinion sitting at the bar was one of many factors, I'm sure, why the hubby of the other couple later texted me that there was "mixed chemistry".

I don't mind if playmates have different political views than me. I just don't discuss politics, with them.

Rabid anything is usually not very interesting to me, even if they happen to be roughly politically aligned with me. I appreciate people being even-tempered and rational. If they come to different conclusions or hold different values, that's perfectly OK with me. "Haters" of any breed are a major turn off.

I did, however, screw the daughter of a state assemblyman a couple months back - does that count? I did not get any sex on my little visit to John Boehner's office last fall, but I did feel the ice cold tongue of Congress in my ass crack. |

Have you ever gotten cozy with someone from the Democratic side.. VA, totally agree about avoiding anyone that takes things that serious even into their private lives.. BORING!!! |

Some of our best lifestyle friends are of completely opposite political viewpoints. I don't mind at all. Some we talk or debate with, some we just agree to disagree. If someone is so unable to understand how people can feel differently about things then we don't want to be their friends anyway.
As for people in DC..... I always feel fucked whenever we go to K street. We'll be there for a deposition in a couple of weeks arrrrghhhh.... the bar on the roof of the W hotel is an interesting place to go though. I don't bother asking who's of what political persuasion. |
