Growing up, mother was basically Mr. Griswald, exception was she had her minions (IE: my brothers and I) doing all the work: climbing up on the ladders, out the windows, running to the store, moving it a little this way or that, move that red bulb over there, swap this green one with the blue, you have two yellows together over there, fluff that garland more, put another sprig in the wreath, move the spotlight more to the right, that loop is about a 1/4 inch higher than the others...etc, etc. She would just stand there and direct and constantly change and tweak it until we would all just give up! Don't even get me started on the tree decorating fiascos! Can't say I've ever enjoyed decorating the house, even my own. Too many memories of forced child labor.

User Details are only visible to members.	yes the punch bowl makes all the difference. I'm now having flashbacks to being 21 and having the "Italian Stallion" dance on my table while I was drinking a "sex on the beach" lol. My 21st b'day present from my mom.

User Details are only visible to members.	That's exactly what I thought. The only difference is the actual peach slices and it's served in a punch bowl, afterall nothing screams festive holiday fun like alcoholic beverages served in a punch bowl. :-)

User Details are only visible to members.	@BT- Yep. We still have that Ottoman and it's had many uses ;-) Random nugget of information... there's a drink called "sex under the Christmas tree". Takes peach, cranberry juice, triple sec, and vodka. Sounds like a promising beverage for when we decorate the house.

User Details are only visible to members.	we don't do much outside, wreaths on doors of house and stable, front entry way to farm. Icicle lights on house and big snowflakes garland around deck rail....hmmmm we do more then I thought! I would love to put lights on the barn too (shhhhh don't tell my man, he gets nervous when I get on ladders and rooftops) but we still have young kids so they still believe and they love all the decorations. at mom's house we always had a Christmas tree in the living room and in the family room was my "birthday" tree. PG
