It also reminds me that Mr Cincy used to post every now and then. I am not sure I have ever laughed harder than the time Mr Cincy and I posted limericks to each other whilst sitting 10 feet apart. Unless it was the time we had silly weed........or were driving through the Garden District.....he has perhaps the driest sense of humor on the planet.

boogie oogie oogie--i learned to lindy to that song. along with "shame" by evelyn "champagne" king. not your typical lindy songs, but popular at that time and had good solid beats for a girl learning the lindy for the first time.

my mother taught me in our living room; we had a wooden floor with one of those godawfulugly braided area rugs.

it is one of the good memories i have of her; we had such a blast, particularly when one of us would hit the edge of the rug in mid dance and slide a bit, adding a bit more speed to the dance.

good memories.
