In '05, people down here didn't care whether it was a republican or a democrat sending them food, water, and supplies. They just cared that y'all cared. So, find a charity that supports you're beliefs if you feel strongly about things, and give. To me, though a leftie, when things were in crisis, I always cared more about how much of every dollar flowed through to those in need (and how fast) vs who was name was on the check or box of food. Just my 2 cents...

nepacpl3, please tell me what millionaire wroking for the red cross is getting the money that people are donating. But I guess you haven't been to some of the shelters that have been set up to aid the people that need a shoulder to cry on of a hot cup of coffee and something to eat.
I don't care who is sending money or where it comes from, because when there is a disaster the Red Cross is there. How many disasters have you gone to help people try to recover. |

Its true, New Jersey and the surrounding areas will probably never see a dollar of the Red Cross money. It goes to wherever they see fit and to some CEO's million dollar salary. jmo
