NJNY--I did the shots years ago and may be looking back into them as well. The pills just don't work for me any longer, and I loathe having an inhaler. And at lunchtime, the rain finally made it over the mountains (all summer long the mountains broke up the rain from us.).

I've read and heard so many great thing about honey. We use it for our daughters Bulldog and his allergies. The white English Bulldogs have lots of skin issues related to food and environmental allergies. Yes the local if available is the best. I wish I liked the taste of it, maybe it would help with my food allergies, but I just don't like it.

Great here in Vero Beach. Just back from the mall and, thankfully, I bought nothing.

Jan, make sure it's from local bees. may not be effective otherwise.

i've been doing allergy shots for close to 2 yrs now; noticeable difference. including very little incidence of asthma in high allergy season.

Thanks Sed, I will be looking into that today. I have had horrid allergies all of my life, and with them when they are really bad comes some asthma. I would prefer to take anything that is not medication, so thanks again for the tip.

Shut up BLM!!!! We need the rain here badly.

Jan,

Have you looked into bee pollen? If not, you should. I personally, have no allergies. But hubby and both of the boys have horrible allergies. They started taking bee pollen about four months ago. They've not taken any meds since. No more sneezing, coughing, red watery eyes, runny nose or the inability to breathe.

raining like crazy off and on. Flash flood warning coming across my phone, and now the temps are going to drop in the 70's for highs for the next week. Time to pull out the long sleeves.
