It was a bit chilly here this AM, and with the rain we had last night, it formed cool ice patterns on my truck windows and hood. Should have taken a pic, they were really kind of neat.

Supposed to be in the 60's this afternoon and sunny.

VA. We have a "corn snake" that stays around. It's in the same family as your friend. He helps keep the varmints out of my feed. I guess he has learned to stay away from the pig pens. Otherwise he wouldn't still be around. Feral pigs love snakes.

I have been snow skiing twice in my life. The first time, many years ago, I thought I was a "hotdog". The second time I went I found out that I wasn't. Long story. While in the bathroom stall at the ski lodge I read some graffiti on the wall. It said: "If the Good Lord had intended for Texans to snow ski, He would have made bullshit white." Made sense to me. I haven't been back since.

the one barn I worked at we had a freaking huge black snake that lived in the big feed bin we had (built in cabinet with slant roof) I guess I was too quiet entering the feed room one day and opened the lid and there he was on top of the grain bags. I screamed and dropped the lid. After that I made a habit of banging on the top of the grain bin then counting to 10 before I opened it so we wouldn't scare the crap out of each other again.

We have a "guard snake" - a southern black racer about 4 feet long - that lives near our garage. They aren't dangerous and as far as I'm concerned he/she can stay, as its arrival has stopped the fucking armadillos from digging up our yard.

i only meant the extreme humididity all the time would mess with my r/a too much. i recall being in fla a couple times and being wracked. nowadays i think ahead and if i am able to travel, try to plan my visits to hot/humid places a lil bit better.

"I shiver watching a snow plow commercial"

me too, and sadly I live where it does get cold and snow some. Although this year was pretty tame....the two winters before were brutal.
