it actually got up into the low 40's here, which after temps around 0 felt like a heat wave. Raining now, might be freezing rain in the morning.

In the Laurel Mountains of Pa, it is cold, but the wind chill and winds are what gets ya. For the past three days and into Sunday, we will be in the negative figures temp wise and the wicked winds will whip for a wind chill of -25 to -30, but hey, there are others far worse off than us.

snowy and cold by me.

guy at the gas station tried the booster thing--didn't work.

truck that came out connected me to his truck--"live" and it worked.

now waiting for another "live" -- he tested the battery and it has 80% life "it just needs to recharge"

so i will be driving long distance once it finally starts to hopefully get it charged enough for the trip home tonight.

i will be buying new jumper cables tonight.

We're having a heat wavy, it's only 26, cloudy and heading up to the mid 30s. For me that's bearable.

njny, sorry about your battery, but glad you had the ability to find a way quickly. Suggestion go to Walmart and buy a battery booster they are cheap and the guy that came out to start your car probably used one.
