You can get a good grip on the pole with pine tar.

until you can't get a good grip on a pole you wouldn't think weather would play a role. And different dancers get a better grip in different conditions. I rarely sweat and my hands never sweat, so I'm always trying to add non-slippery moisture to my skin to get it to stick to the pole. Others are using tons of anti sweat products on their hands. Its a science lol.

I never knew how much weather played a part in a pole dancer's life or anything else for that matter. I'm always so distracted when their dancing.

Perfect again!

today its supposed to be fairly warm, in the mid 90's. So finally getting some summer weather! Although the humidity has been fairly low most of the summer, which sucks for me poling since I have such dry skin I stick better when its humid.

It's about 78 right now; no humidity at the moment. The best time of day.

This summer, like the few before it, has been much cooler than the several before that. When we moved here in 2006 (and persisting until 2010), summer highs of 94-104 were common; we'd have at least 10 days each summer of 100+, and 85 was a "cool" day.

Now, we haven't had a 100 degree day in 3 years, and it rarely crosses 92. While some might find this nice, it's beginning to hurt tourism in Virginia Beach, which depends on an ocean temperature in the low 80s in the summer; it ain't been happening in the last few years.

To all of you in the southeast - a little tropical something something is probably coming early to mid next week. Keep an eye on it....
