| Do Hot Date Postings for couples or singles work any better than using the search/message? Does it seem desperate? Any good, bad, or funny stories on responding to one or posting your own? Seems like a few cheating guys traveling..... |

I have met people from SLS from the fora, from Hot Dates they placed and ones I placed, and from private emails they sent and I sent. It's just one more way to meet people. That's all.

Oh, Sed, I understand that. I was just using it as an example as well. There are several people who are on here that we'd love to meet, but in all actuality, it's not likely to happen. We go to a club regularly & have met many couples that have become close friends there. Some of them we even played with on the night we met! {Yikes!} I personally am comfortable with it, as is my husband. The bonus is that we see these people regularly, have vacationed with them, have hired one as an interior decorator, had pics taken by one......& the list goes on! As the saying goes, to each his own!

Sed, I "get" it, I just ran with the illustration at hand. It's all good. I'm not generally one to take things the wrong way and get all worked up over it much.

That's why I said it would eliminate the ice breaking moment. If nothing else, when we eventually meet other people from the forums (and we will), we can always fall back to talking about this place to avoid any awkward silence. T |
