@Va Observant, and you post a LOT, so I suppose it could be viewed as stalkerish to the novice forum viewer......but I'm just a chatty poster, making happy posts all Kumbayah and shit :)

Jeez you have been following along closely to know our anniversary is this week. Either you're very observant or a stalker.

Poutine is more common in the colder months i.e. August through June :)

Canadians celebrate Canada Day in almost exactly the same manner American celebrate Independence Day. Flag waving, fireworks, national anthem, grilling dead animals, going to the beach, drinking beer, etc.

In the Niagara area, the Friendship Festival is basically a week-long party shared across the border, covering both dates of independence and lots of rock bands, parties, etc. It's pretty cool.

Interesting, I have zero knowledge or experience with Canadians or their traditions. I take that back, zero knowledge except for hearing server friends over the years while living in Florida talk about their tipping habits.

I do know that at epcot, beef is the food they highlight as "Canadian" lame I know using epcot as a fact sourse.

HT- a rare day with no where I have to be at a certain time. Lots to do of course, but at least I don't have to keep my eye on the clock all day. Or really for the rest of the week :)

HT2- In theory the owner of one of the horses in the barn put a check in the mail this week-end for the rather large sum of money she owes us. I won't believe it until its in my hands, but hopeful it will get here soon.

HT3- new meds are making me feel much better :)

**C&P** Happy Canada Day, hosers.

"Is there a go to meal for this holiday,"

I'd guess poutine is high on the list.

Is there a go to meal for this holiday, like BBQ is for our forth of July or turkey for thanksgiving?
