I haven't had full range of motion of my right knee from the moment that it was dislocated for the very first time. I was 18, in my future husband's arms, on the dance floor. At the hospital, the doctor that treated me said, that ill never be the same. And that arthritis is in my future. He predicted a full knee replacement by the time that I hit 50.

Thanks guys.

Mario, do you have any pain with the artificial knee? Do you have to take any meds for your body not to reject/react to it?

46 is too young to have a knee hold you up from living!

Sed, not to worry. I had my knee scoped 6 times and finally needed a full knee replacement. Got it done at age 29. Aside from less range of motion (compared to the real knee), it is relatively easy to handle. I was back on the golf course in 6 days.

After 4 arthroscopies, my doc is pushing me towards a partial knee replacement. I'm bummed. 46 is too young for a knee replacement :/

Lol @ mr Va. Yes, Sed. Arthroscopically. I have been getting conflicting info from the Dr and the surgery center now about whether or not I should be bearing weight on that leg or not. I do know that it feels way better when I DO use it than not. Fugg'em.

I showered, did my exercises, ate a late lunch, pulled weeds for about 1/2 hour and suddenly felt like my ass had been seriously kicked.

I need a beach day.

Speedy recovery, Rdy. Was it done arthroscopically?
