Sitting on the deck with coffee, working, and listening to a wood thrush singing in the trees. It is one of the prettiest bird songs, and it delights me to the point of laughing every morning I hear it. There is also a resident catbird feeding on some berries close by and a downy woodpecker flitting about; the catbird just landed on the table in front of me, and a common whitetail dragonfly is on the deck. They are about the most unusual looking dragonfly in this area, and I have never seen one this close.

HT: My daughter, fiancee and the baby are loading the truck as we speak to relocate from MN to CO. A friend is driving the U Haul and she is leaving her car behind. I am super excited for them. They will leave around 8pm and figure with Baby stops they should be too their new home by noon tomorrow.
On the bitch side, I know I won't get a wink of sleep tonight, long drive, late at night ya da ya da. I'll Cross my fingers and say a prayer they arrive safely. Mrs Sav |
