A survey revealed the top 10 "most unfortunate names" of towns in the US.
They were: Toad Suck, AR Climax, GA Boring, OR Hooker, OK Assawoman, MD Belchertown, MA Roachtown, IL Loveladies, NJ Squabbletown, CA Boogertown, TN changed it's name in 2010. I would have liked to have seen Goochland, VA on that list. I've been to Dildo, Newfoundland. Also Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha!, Quebec (yes, it's written that way). Know of any other good ones? |

Big Bone Lick is located on Beaver Road at the midpoint between Beaverlick, KY and Rabbit Hash, KY. A few years ago, the good people of Rabbit Hash elected a dog to be the mayor. Yes, an actual canine was duly elected.
A "lick" in this case is actually a geological feature or, at least, a Kentucky take on geology. |

Most of them probably have some kind of legit story (like Fucking, or Swastika). But "Big Bone Lick?" |
