This old body has been through quite a few breaks and bends over the years. A very large truck bomb explosion is where things started to really go bad for me and has put limits on my daily activities. Not even the VA wants to tackle what all ailes me.

User Details are only visible to members.	Mr sa, google prolotherapy, and see if there is anyone in your area who specializes in it. I have used it for several chronic injuries, most significantly a low back that ruled my life for more than 15 years. I have written about the treatment before on here, but it was nothing short of a miracle cure for me.

User Details are only visible to members.	SWGolden, I do the opposite, I go into the chiropractor and say I'm not giving up riding horses, high heels, pole dancing or rough sex. Your job is to patch me back together after these activities. Luckily my back is doing better now that I'm older, in part because of regular adjustments. In my 20's I had herniated 3 discs, and made my spine rotate. Couple that with the pronounced curve I already had... right shoulder has been dislocated 3 times, and "slips" a lot. I have two chiro's currently. My regular one and Mr Magic Hands...oh my god the things that man can do to my body. He is a massage therapist as well as a chiropractor and is just incredible in more ways then one. I tease him when he bends me into a pretzel he is going to have to adjust me later ;) PG

User Details are only visible to members.	VA, it was a long time ago. We have to look at our past realistically, make peace with it, and not let it carry over into our present and more importantly, our future in any kind of harmful way.

User Details are only visible to members.	Sorry that you went through that type of thing. Unfortunately, we are in a couple of the same clubs. I need to start going back to a chiropractor. I've only been a handful of times. My mother took me to one as a teenager for scoliosis, but I felt like he was trying to turn me into an invalid. He gave me a 12 pt. 3 columned list of things that I could not do - and I was a girl that ran 2 miles per day, swam 2 miles per week, rode my bicycle 100 miles per week, lifted weights, and played volleyball. I wasn't even supposed to sit or stand for long periods of time! I decided another time that I should start going and getting regular adjustments. The chiro wanted me to sign a $3,500 contract before he would agree to treat me (15 years ago). Three other friends recommended him, but they were never asked to sign contracts. He said that my neck was so curved that impinged the blood flow to my brain. He said that I would end up getting a mental illness or stroke. I laughed at him and never went back. Perhaps he did have a bit of wisdom. I did end up having strokes, but even that didn't effect me much long-term. It took me a whole year to be able to read at length and regain my vocabulary, but I think that I do fairly well.
