Y'all I love my job, I love what I do, my patients, my colleagues, I love my hospital and am very proud of hte organization I belong to, but I'm extremely frustrated right now about the direction things are going in as a result of several changes based on outside factors. |

Y'all, I can only think that my hospital is merely a microcosm of the bigger picture. Something needed to be done about healthcare in general, but what was done was a huge step in the wrong direction, and there are days when I feel like things are just a little too close for comfort.

Day from Hell at work. Good patients/bad situations. Hope I never see the likes of it again. Wound up talking with Director and CNO about it. Latest I've EVER gotten out of work {HATE leaving out the morgue door at night, anyway} and I hope it's a L-O-N-G time before I'm stuck that late again! Thank goodness for a charitable friend willing to let me vent on my way to pick up my sleeping cherubs, or I'd be up til morning trying to unwind!

It took my 2.5 hours to get from my office to my home today. Because President Obama decided to leave Austin during rush hour and there were 3 different motorcades...so the ATX was shut down. After I sat in one spot for an hour, poor Jay listening on the phone while I relayed my extreme dislike for the President, his car, motorcades in general and everything else LOL...we started to creep. Ugh. I am very glad to be home, I am staying home the next time he brings his ass to Austin lol.
