Mr. PB --- I likee and second that idea:). I like weekend gathering whether in Memphis, Nola or a beach......anywhere but my hometown Jackson which I just heard on the news has now been named "Allergy Capitol of the World". {sneezing now} which is my newest FB :(

As a giant fan of good Q, I can wholeheartedly say I would rather eat the worst BBQ Memphis has to offer than the "voted best in town" here.
The sauce is somewhere between N. Carolina and Kansas city style (sweet but runny with a vinegary finish) and the brisket is basted in some god awful mess that turns the bark into inedible crap I wouldn't feed to a dog. And SB...I'm hoping our little Rendevous becomes a semi-regular thing. I know Pandora wouldn't mind coming back for seconds. ;) |

Memphis BBQ might be what he is comparing Owensboro to T, Mr & Mrs PB were in town around my birthday and we all enjoyed some delicious ribs and brisket at Rendezvous, one of my favorite bbq places.
