SPRING HILL - They got naked, fought naked and stayed naked after law enforcement arrived, deputies said. The female suspect was mad her boyfriend was having sex with another woman while the male suspect lost his temper about his girlfriend being in bed with two men, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office. Tempers flared and the woman suffered a bloody lip and the man sustained scratch marks on his neck and back, deputies said. The three other people participating in the apparent swinger's party had left the house by the time authorities arrived, according to reports. Tina Michelle Norris, 39, and James Albert Barfield, 56, of 5346 Patricia Place, were booked around 6 a.m. Sunday at the Hernando County Jail. Both of them were charged with domestic battery. Norris was charged with an additional count of resisting arrest. Deputy Cari Smith, who interviewed both, said Norris was "very intoxicated and uncooperative." Smith stated in her arrest affidavit Norris refused to put on her clothes after being told to do so. Barfield also was naked when she got to the house, Smith wrote. Smith was joined at the house by Deputy James Devorak. Smith arrested Norris and Devorak arrested Barfield, according to reports. A witness who lives at the house was interviewed by Smith. The roommate told the deputy she was sleeping alone in a spare room when she heard yelling and screaming in the hallway, according to reports. She got out of bed and saw Norris and Barfield "pushing and shoving each other from one end of the house to the other (while) breaking things in the process," Smith wrote in her affidavit. The witness said she pulled Barfield off Norris, at which time Norris went after her boyfriend. This continued several more times before the couple separated and went into separate bedrooms, deputies said. "(The witness) stated that she did not see how or what started the argument, but (said) both (Norris and Barfield) were equally aggressive to each other," Smith wrote. The same witness also told deputies the couple had a "weird relationship," according to the sheriff's office. Smith and Devorak never got the identities of the other people in the house having sex with either Norris or Barfield, so they couldn't get statements from them, Smith wrote. Norris kept telling Smith her boyfriend had beaten her and she was "bleeding everywhere," according to reports. "She was NOT bleeding everywhere and only had blood on her lip," Smith stated. Both suspects were held at the jail without bond.

Springhill Florida among the locals has the nickname ofCop Land due to the number of retired yankee law enforcement that retires there. It's even somewhat marketed that way in local realtor circles. It also has a reputation for out of the blue sinkholes accuring. It sits on a huge lime stone aquifer bed. Prior to it's delevoplment to single family homes marketed to tranplants back in the mid 80's and 90's in was concidered hayseed land and was very very rural. It's very rare to find someone under 30 that is "from Springhill Florida". And yes it would't surprise me if some swingers from that area are reading this. Ya'll need to pipe up and post a little sum sum if you are. Those fools in the news article ain't got nothing to do with you.
