User Details are only visible to members.	We aren't overly impressed by the "packaging" that people put themselves into. As others have stated, overdoing the cologne and makeup are definite turnoffs. Most important is that a person is comfortable in what they're wearing. Casual clothing is not at all related to being dirty. Dressing up is not a good substitute for cleanliness.

User Details are only visible to members.	Robert, I don't mean to be brutal here. However, if you can't "afford" to play then you have to wait until you are more prepared IMO. That being said, we plan for the things we want to do in life. If you are cash strapped, you shouldn't step into this arena, even in this hard economy. So, you can't bring someone home, then it's on you to pay for a hotel room and not a roach motel. The female shouldn't have to provide the place....at least I wouldn't unless you just blew me away....no one has done that to date. Come prepared to pay or stay home. That's not to say I would not contribute to our night of fun if I've been in contact with you, liked you and made the exception to go out with you even though you are cash strapped. I might spring for the lunch, dinner or drinks but I don't think anyone should expect that. If I invite someone out, male or female, I host them and, frankly, expect the same.

What is basically appropriate in one situation may be different from what works in another situation. Our attire when we are gardening may be different than what we wear when we are leaving to meet with that special play date. I simply cannot relate to the unshaved, wrinkled shirt, frayed collar, gravy stained shirt, torn jeans, … appearance in a social setting. There is even a couple who is often featured on SLS where she is wearing a dark dress, nylon stockings, high heels, groomed hair, and manicured nails standing next to him where he is unshaved, wearing a tee shirt, dirty jeans, and sneakers. I can only imagine that she read “Dressing for Success” and he didn’t.

User Details are only visible to members.	For many reasons I would not bring a swinging date home. I was talking in general of how the house appears. Obviously I wouldn't subject my family to the fact that I screw around, nor create the arkward situation that would occur for the swing date. And yes I would love to make enough money to live on my own... Sadly I do not. This is why our economy is not sustainable with the growing trend to make all jobs or more jobs minimum wage. When a single person can not support themselves on a minimum wage job, they cannot add to the economy and thus the government must provide. In this case my family adapted and we pull our collective resources. Something we've done sense I was six years old and saved every penny I made with my allowance, birthday, Christmas, ect... Money. As minimum wage is what even factories pay life time employees in this area... It is no wonder the lical economy is failing just as badly if not worst than the US economy. Sure the stock market shows some strength... But it showed strength right up until black Friday and then we had the great depression. Hell my best friend has a government job (lawyer)and if it wasn't for him having a live in girlfriend, he couldn't afford rent someplace safe for a non-gang affiliated person. (getting that way where I live.)

Fortunately, I've only had one situation where the "couple" looked like they rolled out of I don't know where. Needless to say, I made excuses and promptly left. They were annoyed with me. I could care less. I take pride in my appearance all the time, not just for a date. Yes, I may go a little extra when I am going to meet someone but for the most part, I am always well groomed, dressed, etc., even at the gym. When I want "ugly" time. I am alone...LMAO!

User Details are only visible to members.	I will admit, my areas are an Organized mess. You will never figure out where something is, but ask me and I can get it to you in 10 seconds flat. That said, food will never be found on the floor ir left out beyond on the stove and only for about three hours after it had been cooked. (time to get left overs, at which point there are few left overs) Just don't be surprised to find tax, bank or other bills laying around. We have to refer to them often because the utility companies change their rates like a hypcondriact cleans their hands. (just to suck more money out of you.) Please note. If you try to break into the house, the beagle isn't trying to be a lap dog... He just wishes to crawl into your pocket. And the junk yard looking dog bits any intruder... The last guy lost three fingers... Stupid drunk.

User Details are only visible to members.	Ugh. I can't even become attracted to PICS with messy backgrounds and sloppy dirty clothes and hair. A little clutter? Ok. Baloney on the couch and a dirty fork on the floor? Goodbye. We don't "overdo" our appearances, but we dress for the occasion. We've met swing friends at amusement parks, where you will find us in shorts and shirts, casual makeup maybe for me (I cannot imagine wearing globs of eye makeup and eye lashes and mascara when you're going to sweat and become windblown...keep it simple); as well as themed costume parties at clubs where sexy and classy get a bit blurred. Learned from our first club/hotel experience, that we were a bit overdressed (as in too many clothes), and learned quickly how to fit in. Nice pants and shoes and watch for him, with a polo or button down or nice Italian knit shirt. Grooming, light on the cologne (you don't want to overdo that), CLEAN everywhere. For her (me), a dress and strappy shoes. I usually go with low cut, but I tend to follow the Italian rule of "tight top, looser bottoms or skirt, loose top and tighter bottoms, but not both at the same time" (it's not just Italian, but those are the models and actresses I adore most). Not TOO much makeup, I mean, really, very few guys actually want makeup rubbed off all over their clothes. Tasteful makeup. I don't want to look like a drag queen. GOOD undies! Your best undies. You get the idea, I think. Skanky isn't synonymous with sexy. Slutty can be fun. Pair your look with the surroundings and the event itself. Gina

Holly - reminds me of the "Friends" episode with Ross and the hot girl he wanted, but her place was a pig sty - in the end, even Ross couldn't do it on the couch with the old baloney in the cushions. YUCK I say, YUCK. I had to vacuum and re-clean the toilet this weekend because of a play-date...mind you, it had only been a couple days...LOL
