Last night was the first time in a month I listened to one of my favorite radio shows featuring the blues. I read about it years ago, and now it's streamed over the interwebs on Highway61Radio. It was started by Bill Ferris, who later went on to become director of the National Council for the Humanities.

The show has access to some very early and rare blues recordings. Anyone who enjoys authentic Delta blues should tune in sometime.

I looked at that and then thought......naaaah, no one would ever think that!

I am allowed to post in here - On the last tour I turned to my friend and told her that Clarence would never be on tour again; he was almost crippled. It will take two saxes to fill the shoes of the the Big Man. Seeing Bruce either back in the day or now is such an experience for me. I always try to pretend that I am not going to completely get caught up in it but I always do. Sadly, I totally lose my shit and become 17 again every time. We all have our weaknesses. I am sorry that he has written some really shitty music in the last twenty years, and I must admit that I threw my copy of WOAD out my car window after one listen, but his early stuff is burned into my brain. When I was 20 I saw him in Barcelona, watching the entire concert with my elbows on the stage. I had my passport swiped in Italy and had to get from Italy to Spain without it. It took much crying and pleading to accomplish the feat; but I did it. Met my bf in Barcelona, saw the concert, shook hands with Bruce and boffed our brains out in a cama de marido. Oh my......

Kitten, I've heard of it. A visiting couple was staying there last year and wanted me to join them, but I passed. They told me it was bigger than the Dive Inn, but that's all I know.

There's also a nice restaurant and clothing optional pool over in the Bywater. Country Club, I think. Supposed to be very nice; almost went early last summer with a couple, but we couldn't seem to escape from my place. :)
