We’re newbies to the lifestyle and use SLS more for the great advice provided by veteran swingers on the forums than for anything else. Overlooking the occasional squabbling here and there, the forums here have been a great resource for lifestyle information. We’ve probably read hundreds of threads ranging from “best make-up tips” over in the Women Talk Forum to “how to apply the perfect pressure when using a crop” over on BDSM. In each of these threads, there were always one or more members willing to share their best advice. Before deciding upon this adventure, I read a book titled Swinging 101 or something like that. My hope with this thread is to gather as much useful information under one title as possible. . All you LS veterans, aside from “make you are having fun” and “communicate with your partner”, what is the one piece of swinger of advice (your golden nugget sort of speak) that you would give to a newbie couple like us? This could be anything: simple - “bring your own towels to a house party” or funny - “don’t shoot your load into her eyes; you can blind her” or more complicated – “never mess around with a couple in crisis”.

User Details are only visible to members.	Jay and I know each other well. He knows me, he can look at my body language and tell whether or not I am having fun or not. Safe words are wonderful, esp. in the beginning. Just make sure that when the safe word is used, it is completely understood that it does not mean it is a word to spark argument or negotiation. It means play is stopped, no questions asked. Talk about why later of course...but do not argue at the time.

User Details are only visible to members.	We have a "safety" word, per se, that we will use if we need to step aside and talk about what's going on. This way we can talk and get out if we need to. It's funny how issues with the kiddo at home can crop up when an escape is needed.
