I'm not getting snippy at all. I know an awful lot about it.
The only time vegetables are restricted a lot is in the first few weeks. Certain vegetables (starchy ones such as corn) are pretty much never OK, but most salad vegetables, peppers, celery etc can be and should be eaten in substantial amounts. |

Re-read my post please. Atkins diet does not include much veggies. High protein diet is not the same as Atkins. No need to get snippy.

It is a not-so-well known fact that people actually on it eat tons of vegetables and do not typically have such problems.
Those who follow the "I don't have time to learn it - give me 8 pounds of bacon please" experience such trouble. :) |

The query about your butt hurting, I would imagine is due to the constipation effect that so much protein has on the body. It is a known fact that people who are on the Atkins diet have a religious experience when they move their bowels ;). |
