If you're over 50, and you're getting hard for half of your play time, you're doing OK. Any more than that, and you might wear yourself out.

User Details are only visible to members.	About 1 1/2 years ago, I was on a med that made me unable to get erect, AND it killed all urge to do anything sexual. There wasn't even a craving. Needless to say, I wasn't on it very long before I was at the doc, getting a different med. Now, I sometimes run into the soft situation, but I now know, without a doubt, that it's mental. I have also figured out a few things about myself along the way. For me, the most arousing thing is seeing my wife in the throes of passion and sexual fulfillment. So, in paying attention to when I was having "issues," I found that I am less apt to be hard if I'm not in view of my wife while she's having "fun." If it's just myself and another woman, my mind drifts away from the pleasurable thoughts that should be going on, and I dwell on other, less productive, ideas. I still can get hard when alone with another woman, but if my wife is within an eye-shot away, I'm a rock, lol. In saying all that, try paying attention to the environment around you. Maybe you have same thing, or possibly complete opposite. I know a friend that WON'T get hard seeing his wife enjoying herself "too much" with someone else.

We are working on different things to help, but what seems to have made the most difference so far has been switching brands of condoms. We've switched to Kimono Micro Thins. And make sure to put 2-3 drops of lube inside the condom before putting it on. Makes so much difference. Best of luck to all! This can be a very frustrating situation. And yes...having hotter women for for Mr to play with always helps!! LOL

When you get your levels checked and your doctor calls and says your levels are "normal", don't take that at face value. Have them give you the actual numbers and ranges. Better yet, always get the actual lab report faxed to you. As we age our hormone production goes down. The range on lab reports reflect what our bodies do biologically, but not where we need to be to feel good. For example: It's normal for a car to not run right if it's low on oil. But do we leave it that way? No. We add oil so it runs the best. Same thing with hormones. The ranges for men are between 280 and 1100. You have problems with libido, getting hard, staying hard, cumming, losing weight, sleeping, you get up numerous times at night to pee, you have difficulty concentrating. So you see your doctor and he does blood tests. He calls and says your T levels are normal. He goes on to say eat less, work out more, etc. You get frustrated and wonder what the heck is going on. You eat less and work out more but still feel like crap. I will bet your total T levels are 450-500 or below. Yes, they are in the "normal range" but NOT where they need to be to feel good. Do not let a doctor tell you that you are normal based on the ranges of a lab report. Have a great weekend!

User Details are only visible to members.	Guys, I understand performance anxiety, but every one of you over 40 should get your testosterone (Total and Free) levels checked. As you age, your T levels drop. If it's under 500, that's low enough to cause issues. I'm not 100% sure that getting T therapy will help with performance anxiety since I would think it's not a physical cause but you never know. Getting T levels up to over 750 helps with muscle mass, confidence and a whole host of other things. As long as your PSA is ok, there really isn't any reason you can't do the pellets. My husband is 61 and last year his T was down to 297. He got Testosterone pellets inserted under the skin of his butt. Pellets are a little bigger than a grain of rice. In a simple office procedure, the doctor numbs a spot on his rear, makes an extremely tiny incision and using a trocar, inserts the pellets. He puts on steri-strips and a band-aid and it's done! Takes about 5-10 minutes. The pellets are FDA approved for men under the name of Testopel. However, those are very expensive. He gets Bioidentical pellets as I do, but these are not FDA approved. The insertion cost for us is $150. He pays $40 per pellet and gets 6 200mg pellets. I pay $30 per pellet and get 4 (2 25mg Estradiol and 2 37.5mg T). He got 1200mgs of T and they lasted about 5 months. He may be 61, but he has the penis of a 25 year old! His morning erections came back, erections are easier (like instantaneous) , harder, bigger and we're loving it! His orgasms are stronger and can achieve more than one within a few hours. Desire has also been ramped up to high! Not bad for a 61 year old! 10 weeks after his first insert in June 2011, his T level was 1550 which is a little high but we weren't complaining! His Estradiol got a little high when his T was at 1550 range so he took an Estrogen lowering pill once a week. His 2nd was in December 2011 and his third was in May 2012. He had his levels checked at the end of July and his Total T is 894 and his Free is 145. Excellent levels! We can tell within 48 hours that the T is working. You do need to watch your Estradiol (estrogen) levels. Every man I know that gets the pellets has to do that. His E is low enough that now he's gone to 1 pill every other week. I also get Bioidentical pellets of Estrogen and Testosterone. I get 2 25mgs of Estradiol and 2 37.5mgs pellets of Testosterone. I completely lost my sex drive and got old for 16 years after my hysterectomy in 1987. Eight years ago when I got my first pellet insert, 48 hours later I woke in the middle of the night feeling like my clit took over my body! My gynecologist does mine. Helping women get back what surgical or natural menopause takes away has become my mission and passion. I have a Yahoo support group with over 470 members, including a pharmacist that makes the pellets. I'm on almost every menopause/hysterectomy forum that will let me discuss the pellets. I make no money and have zero financial interest in them. Doctors buy them directly from the pharmacies. I've helped women from as far away as New Zealand find a doctor to do them. I no longer get erections on demand, but I do achieve raging boners with just a little TLC and stimulation, but sex is all about instant gratification, it seems. It's not the end of the world, but many men see it as that. It's unfortunate that their wives/gf's see it that way too. So, if I need to pop a Levitra an hour before engaging in sex, that's what they're here for ! LOL
