Whore is a value loaded word used through the ages to control women’s sexuality…keep it repressed because it was a threat to maleness. A woman who practices serial marriage is a nice girl now days. A woman who fucks more than one guy is a whore (lets use this word to make her faithful and play by the “proper” moral code). Bullshit. A whore fucks because she likes men! A prostitute fucks for money. A prostitute who enjoys her work is a whore too. But not every prostitute is a whore. Slut is a socially more acceptable them than whore, because it carries less value loading. Both whore and slut are words that not only describe behavior but implicitly attack a woman’s character. At one time they were equally offensive. However; with Madison Avenue, fashion, talk shows, etc. slut was used more often and lost much of it’s power to attack a woman’s character. Slut is almost equivalent to being sexy nowdays. It’s meaning is transforming. So is the meaning of whore. I’m looking forward to when whore is used to describe a woman who enjoys her sexuality, being a woman, and one who admires and enjoys men. Probably not in my lifetime…but I’m working on it. My wife loves to fuck and I’m very fortunate to have her love as well.
