Original Starting post for this thread:
This may sound wierd, but most clubs seem to have theme nights that run along the lines of "little black dress", or "bra and panties". Now, I'm not wearing that, no disrespect, just not my thing. SO, while the wife has some idea of what's expected I tend to end up dressing in nice slacks and dress shirt. Some men seem to adhear to that, some are in shorts and flip-flops, some in jeans. ;

I'm not metrosexual, but I like to be appropriately attired, and "yes", I'd rather be overdressed than underdressed. ;

My question is, "what do others wear?";

Secondly, we are planning to venture out of our area to "You Know Where" in NC. It's a bigger club than we are used to and has numerous play areas, I'm wondering what men wear when walking around? Flip-flops? Boxers? Nothing? I'm not worried about going nude, just not sure what is common?;

I refer nice dressy jeans, usually a button down shirt that looks clubby. I have a nice Korrs tuxedo shirt with French cuffs that looks good with out the cuff links and untucked or tucked in with the cuff links. A nice dressy v neck tshirt. Nice shoes, nice underwear and never forget to smell nice.

I usually try to dress for the themed event,and match my partner as much as possible. I dress her to the 9s,and try to be a close 6/7s. (Never out dress your partner)

If it's not a themed party,I try to follow these words of wisdom on what to wear...

When you go to a swingers club/party,you always want to be one of these three things...

1.The richest man in the room. 2.The most well endowed man in the room. 3.The best dressed man in the room.

So yea,I always wear a suit and tie and shoot for #3.

Typically a suit or blazer with slacks. Shoes are important as well... no scuffs etc. If the club is on premise, I like to be able to get out of them relatively easy as well. ;-)

It be some men come to the club with a tank top shirt on and pants hanging down to there knees. I could not see myself doing that and then plus wearing skinny jeans that is tight to your thighs? That is what some dudes wear these days. If they like wearing it like that good for them, but I would not think any women would mess with them.

We do parties more than clubs, but here's how I (he) will dress.

If it is a "themed" party, we will dress as a couple for the theme. A local party for us is Temptations (our favorite), and their parties have themes. Pirate party, neon glow, sports, ect

If the theme is more loose (nothing for the guys to dress up about), I will wear nice slacks, and a collared shirt. In my opinion, jeans are what NOT to wear at a party. As guys, we should dress up a little bit. If the ladies can wear something sexy, we should try to look our best.

2 weeks ago, we went to a party straight from a wedding. I had shirt, tie, and pants.

For me, it's usually a suit/jacket, starched shirt and tie. But then, that's not uncommon if Lady and I go out on the town anyway.

Lady can turn heads no matter what she is (or is not) wearing. I, on the other hand, need a little more work if I want to look like anything but her driver!

I can't say that it makes me look one bit better, stand out one bit more, or get me much of anything. But it makes me feel really good and comfortable.

I do best (in everything, not just this lifestyle "stuff") when I'm not trying to "pose." The fact is that I can't really pull the *playa* thing off as well as some can. The corporate look just feels more natural for me.

Tramp

PS, the exception of course is Paradise Valley. Clearly, I only wear the tie there.

I like to stand out so often I will wear a nice pair of slacks, black shirt and an outlandish tie (colored pink, purple or white perhaps). I also get pretty disappointed when guys come to a club in a t-shirt. Thank goodness our local club has a "collared shirt" rule.
