Tough decision. Today I would say Rodenbach Grand Cru or Cantillion Rose de Gambrinus. There is nothing like a tart Belgian on a hot summer day.

I'm a dark beer kind of guy. I like a stout that you can stand a spoon in. Guinness and Beamish come to mind first. But sometimes I don't want the full belly feeling after just a few heavy beers, so I'll switch down to a lighter beer like Michelob Ultra or Miller Lite.

Aventinus.....it's a doppelbock weiss bier. If you don't know beer that will be meaningless. If you do know beer, that will be curious. As far as I know it's the only one made. Doppelbock kicks your ass at 8.2% (only comes in .5 liter bottles) and the weiss makes it light and tasty. I found it in the mid-1980s when I was serving in Germany.
