My friends consider me a" beer snob" 'cause I wont drink the mass marketed mass produced, overchilled, 30 cans for your consumable convenience, american lagers. (FIZZY YELLOW BEER IS FOR WUSSIES). I enjoy a finely brewed smoked porter with a good steak and an exceptionally hoppy IPA for after work enjoyment. When in Pottsville I enjoyed Yuengling and It was Magic hat for my palate in Burlington. Many fine beers I have had in the rockies (excluding the obvious) and along the west and north. Mexico finds me with Negra Modelo while the tequila is flowin and here at home I prefer our local brewpub . It has been said before, beauty is in the eye of the beer holder and so is your preference . America is a great country. Wether it be yellow, brown or red... " camarero.. mas cerveza por favor"

The red color comes from crystal malt (malted barley). Saying that it is red from red food coloring only displays a lack of knowledge about the brewing process.

For me it would be the first beer i ever had. Moosehead, it's a Canadian lager. When you open it you can smell the hops.

FunSin, I have to agree with you about Free Beer. Nothing taste better.

At the bars I usually will drink Gerst. It's a red beer that was make locally before the brewery shut down. Of course it has to be in a frosted fishbowl. Our area is very German BTW. Beer is big here.
