Aventinus.....it's a doppelbock weiss bier. If you don't know beer that will be meaningless. If you do know beer, that will be curious. As far as I know it's the only one made. Doppelbock kicks your ass at 8.2% (only comes in .5 liter bottles) and the weiss makes it light and tasty. I found it in the mid-1980s when I was serving in Germany.

Iced water and Iced Tea, really though nothing beats cold cold cold ice water.

Iced tea works on really hot days.

I never, ever drink beer. Sometimes when it is very hot out I wish l liked beer but I just don't.

I LOVE beer. My ex was quite the beer aficionado, and we planned a few vacations around brew pub locations. My favorite home beer is Magic Hat #9, but I think that much of this long-lasting preference is due to several fun trips to their brewery in Burlington. When I am out and trying something local or new, especially if I am eating, I almost always start with a porter or stout and work my way backwards. I can rarely drink more than two beers, so I often will try the sampler if they offer one. I am such a cheap date....beer and nachos are my idea of heaven.

I developed a taste for those tyoes of beer when I was stationed in europe...it took a while lol but its all I drink now.

Tallnfun, you are sounding better and better with every post you make! Now! A man who can appreciate a beer the was meant to be drunk! Still would be a Newkie Brown girl if I still drank. (Not quite at room temp, but not below 50 degrees F either.)
