User Details are only visible to members.	Triple Bypass survivor. I am not on Nitroglycerin. I can use Viagra, Cialis or levitra. It is only a problem for those on Nitro. If your Blood pressure is good, and you are able to excercise without caution..sex is not a problem nor is the VIagra. I sometimes wake up with a headache and a erection after an evening of viagra. I still clog up sinus wise when i use it. Otherwise not much in the way of side effects that i cannot live with compared to ED, I'll take them. My doctor said bad diet, family history, and smoking contributed to the heart attack and arterial desease, but he said alot of the damage that caused ED was from Smoking. I am smoke free 8 years later. Although I really don't take it at home with wifey, it does enhance parties, and ease anxiety.

User Details are only visible to members.	Hi: I am a physician who runs a clinic for E.D. Although many young people take Viagra to inensify their erections, we don't recommend it because of the side effects. You can get a prolonged erection called priapism that can be painful and lead to permanent damage. Although many of these drugs are available on line without a prescription you are playing Russian Roulette with your health. Please don't flame me for preaching, but it is always best to be taking these drugs under a physician's supervision. The reason is that someone is available to help if something goes wrong. it is very scary to wake up the next morning with a painful erection that has lasted 8 hours and there is no one to help you or that you can call. Although we primarily recommend the trmix injections (see my other post under the E.D. thread) complications can happen with all of the E.D. drugs. We have had to help several of our patients in the middle of the night and on weekends who had these problems develope. Many of the others on this thread have discussed several of the other interactions with these drugs and B.P. meds. Remember, that V can cause visual problems and severe G.I. reflux which can spoil an evening also. I do agree that if you are prone to even mild E.D. problems that you should seek some advice and that there is a level of courtesy when playing with your partner or others that you extend by treating yourself so that you don't have to worry about your willy. StPete, my stress tests are allways treadmill.They run my heart rate up to 148, then the shot, then the radiology, then back the next day for a shot & radiology again. Jus passed again a month ago. I'm on hydrocloroth for blood pressure and I'm cleared for viagra, levitra, or ciallis. My pref is viagra and 25 mg works fine for me, and on lucky marathon party nites sometimes I do another 25 mg after 6 hours. Mike

BT I do have mild high blood pressure and take small amounts of high blood pressure medication, one an ACE inhibitor and the other a beta blocker (added after the heart attack - which was caused by an artery blockage...got one of those wonderful stints). Not only do I have the blessing of my heart doctor to take up to no more than 50 mg of the viagra but also my primary care doctor and my renal hypertension doctor (kidney doctor) who all monitor my blood pressure. Jawwge, there are multiple ways to get a stress test. There are treadmills, stationary bikes etc, which if ya didn't have heart problems before hand you will after lol and there is a stress test using drugs where they stress your heart using these drugs but no physical working your ass off. I have had the drug method....don't know if I'll ever do that again, felt like an elephant sitting on my chest at one point. Can't do the treadmills etc due to bum leg, but a treadmill test damn near killed my brother. He will never do another one of those and will opt for the drug method if he ever gets another. As a side note....the VA where I receive all my medical care has switched off from Viagra to Levitra...no choice. I am finding out, however, that the Levitra is doing a better job I think. Take less mg which probably don't mean squat but the Levitra seems to be affected less by food intake. Dave

Men over 50 should have a yearly stress test anyway. There's a lot of men out there with time bomb tickers, and such screenin would save a lotta lives, with or without viagra. BT, some bp meds are compatible viagra, some ain't. One should get their doctors advice on that. Also if someone gets a headache from it, they took too much. And if it gives ya a hardon that won't go away, ya took too much. It's not sumthin to be taken lightly, it's a serious medicine, meanin one should seriously do their homework before takin it. It's my opinion that it's those who fail to do so that become the negative statistics. Mike, who jus passed uis yearly stress test.

User Details are only visible to members.	Stpetecouple, you are 100% correct. I work for the manufacturer of the "little blue pill" which gets rid of big blue...well you know. And I know some folks who complain because they get headaches and feel poorly after taking viagra. Well, Viagra lowers blood pressure, so if you're taking a blood pressure med, you're asking for trouble. Hey men, it's gotta be one or the other but not both. You're either gonna have a stroke because you want to stroke and you don't take your blood pressure meds or you're gonna have a heart attack because you wanted p**** and took viagra along with your blood pressure meds. YOU decide which is more important, because the dangers are listed on the drug info label. mrs bt
