He only needed to be tested once 10 days after surgery. My girlfriends work in the office so it was quite funny actually :)

User Details are only visible to members.	one of those great decisions of life. had mine done in '01 and have enjoyed every minute of the past 9 years without swimmers. i did exactly what the doc told me to do and had no trouble. a bunch of my friends did not listen so well and ended up with problems. don't ba one the assholes who thinks they know better than the urologist. frozen nuts are better than a big hemotoma. and then, life without protection!!!!!

Male half here,I had a vasectomy done 14 yrs ago in Acuna Mexico,went in talked to Dr. went in same day layed on table, wife watched entire thing, he gave me 2 shots to numb area, felt some tugging,but no pain, smelled the burning of the cords, put a few sticthes in, got up an left there was no problem walking, never had a bit of pain,it was very easy waited for the pain an discomfort but never happened had to try it out an had sex 3 days later maybe I was lucky, or maybe just had a good Dr. an it only cost 100.00.I know alot will say Im crazy for doing it in Mexico burt with living on the border, iv never gone to an american Dr an never will the Drs in Mexico are great,an they treat you for what your problem is they dont do tons of test looking for everything from soup to nuts,well thats my opinion I no alot of you will disagree but thats your right also

User Details are only visible to members.	Do they still require you to take two samples in to make sure there are no swimmers? That was more embarrassing for me, handing the bag to the cute nurse going, ummm, here's my, ummm, you know. lol

User Details are only visible to members.	Honestly, I think 33 is young for this semi-permanent decision but of course, everyone has their reasons and it is not my intent to second guess. I have had friends who ended up divorced and remarried who wished they hadn't done it. Aside from that, I had mine done when I was around 40 and never regretted it. No pain to speak of, a bag of frozen peas the evening of the procedure and nothing more. The only funny part to come out of mine was that when I went in for the initial consultation, the doc had a new piece of equipment that he was testing and asked the salesperson (who happened to be a young lady of about 25) to show him how to use it. She was clearly embarrassed to see me lying there with my member out. I wish I could say this was the beginning of a "Dear Penthouse" letter but alas, she soon excused herself from the room, never to be seen again. lol

User Details are only visible to members.	I had a vasectomy almost 40 years ago, when procedures were primitive compared to today. I had no problems at all, except when the Asian doctor (who didn't understand American slang) was getting ready to stick the needle in to inject a local anesthetic and told me "Now just a little prick!" LOL Anyway, that was it. No pain during or after the operation except for some slight swelling 5 weeks later. The body does have to figure out what to do with the sperm still being produced but having no place to go. That swelling and ache disappeared in a few days. But it was very easy and simple. I recommend it heartily to men who are sure they don't want any more children. Jim

User Details are only visible to members.	When you get home after having a vasectomy try to have a few bags of frozen peas handy. They help! My husband did not hobble out of the Drs office, and stated it wasnt that bad. Maybe he has a higher pain threshold. I feel kind of bad that he had it done. Less than 3 months after his surgery I was told I needed a hysterectomy. :/

User Details are only visible to members.	Ten years ago for me, but I remember that "wasp sting" like it was yesterday. Getting V safe was one of my best decisions ever. Completely changed sex for us. No longer having to consider fertility is incredibly liberating. Excellent OPs!
