Justcurious, We never play with anyone at first meet. We don't like the awkward pressure. Others we know do the same. So if you want to get back together later to play someone has to get a room. That leaves it open for the other party to not show. We have not had that happen yet ourselves.

Why would anyone pay for a hotel room in advance before meeting someone in person? If we are going to meet people, we usually meet them at a restaurant or bar or somewhere that we can at least get to know them better...then, and only then do we make a decision to either get a room or just part amicably. If they don't show (which has only happened 1 time) than we just spend the night together having dinner and enjoying each other.
We learned from the very beginning that no one is ever what they seem to be on the interwebs!!! Gibbs rule #69....never pay for a room up front!!!! |

To both couples and singles, I say why not just tell people you changed your mind or say no? We don't mind, it doesn't offend us. We certainly would tell others we decided not to play. I think THAT is what is missing here.

re: hotirish4U, I have also experienced the same situation from a couple. We communicated for a couple of weeks, set up a date and I got the hotel room in advance. We even talked the day of the meet and they never showed up or even answered any of my calls or e-mails. It's a sad situation, this was supposed to be a fun journey belonging to a swingers group but there are a lot of fakes on here, oh well live and learn. it disappoints me but I'm not discouraged.

Think I posted something already on this topic......
Just want to make a comment: we had another SM a couple of weeks ago cancel out on us at the very last minute, and we had to eat $110 for a hotel room! Then all communication stops with him (on his side)! We gave him a chance to make it up, but he didn't. So he is now blocked. So, the "pitiful" treatment goes both ways! |

Sophia- I travel quite a bit and you never know where the wind will take me next. It's more than comforting to know that some hands-on and friendly hospitality is waiting in your neck of the woods :) Livewire- thanks;) and what kind of pictures? In a nutshell, good ones. You obviously know because all of yours are just that. Pictures that you can be proud of, that paint you in a clear and positive light and that look like they are taken with a camera made after 1985 ;-) |
