I now have a very specialized urologist, very talented, ran many tests, and he recommended a compounded prescription. We spent some time adjusting the dosage, but once you have it right, works very well. I have an appliance that utilizes an insulin syringe, the procedure takes only seconds, it is painless, and I am able to maintain a very firm erection for 2-3 hours, depending upon the dosage, even though I may have ejaculated once or twice. Never a complaint from my partner(s). I just need a few moments to recover, replace the condom, and am ready to commence pleazuring my partner(s). My doc said it may take some trial and error, and it appears this is what is happening. I've increased the dosage once with no benefit. So, I'll keep trying. Anyone have a similar experience and how much did you have to take before gaining a benefit?

I tried viagra the injections ..........everything, but no help so I had a implant about 9 years ago and it has worked great for me! I am so glad I did as now I have heart prob. and would not be able to use Viagra even if had worked and the injections were a little painful to me. I now can keep it up for hrs. if I want to! Next question is where can I get enough wind to use it?

User Details are only visible to members.	Although I don't remember the exact figure, I remember my testosterone level being over 700. My doc said it was normal. I have consulted a new doc and after hearing all the various good and bad points, am going to go with the injections. I have the medicine and will be instructed in how to use it this week.

User Details are only visible to members.	Mature...when you say "no problem there" in reference to testosterone levels, what does that mean exactly? What was your Total Testosterone? Free Testosterone? I've posted here extensively about testosterone subcutaneous pellets in males. Testosterone ranges are between 250 and about 1100. If your levels fall below 500, you can start seeing symptoms of low testosterone. Many times uneducated and ignorant doctors look at the ranges for Total testosterone and tell you you are normal. So let's say you are at 350, which is technically "normal" but are experiencing low testosterone symptoms (see list below) then I would ask your doctor: "normal for what? No erections, tiredness, lack of motivation, lack of orgasm, getting up to pee more at night, loss of muscle mass, etc. If that's normal, then no thank you." At that point, I would find another doctor that understands hormones. It's absolutely amazing what they can do for people. If you have symptoms on this list, take it to your doctor and ask how you can be normal when you are experiencing these. Symptoms of Low/No Testosterone include: • Blunted motivation • Bone loss • Decreased libido • Decreased orgasmic response • Decreased sensitivity of breast and genital tissues • Depression • Diminished feeling of well being • Diminished sexual pleasure • Fatigue, prolonged • Fibromyalgia • General aches/pains • Heart palpitations • Incontinence • Loss or thinning of pubic hair • Low energy • Memory problems • Mental fuzziness • Muscle weakness • Thinning skin

User Details are only visible to members.	Testosterone testing was the first thing I tried. No problem there. Cialis only seems to work on occassion. I am also considering the pump. I have a couple of friends who have them and swear by them. My fiance played with one and was very happy with the experience. I will be discussing these options with my doc at the earliesst opportunity. Any other advice/opinions will be appreciated.

User Details are only visible to members.	There are steps you should take before embarking on the injection road. Have you had your testosterone tested? As we age our testosterone production naturally falls. By 60 you may not have enough testosterone in your system to attain and maintain an erection. Taking Viagra, Cialis or any of the other ED drugs will not help if your testosterone is low. If your doctor has not suggested testosterone testing you should suggest it to him.

He uses the short 32g tip x 5mm (1/5") which is the same needle I use for my insulin. I am seriously thinking about asking my doctor if I can try the same.

I'm at the point in my advanced age that I need help with maintaining an erection. My urologist is now recommending Caverject (spelling?) injections. Anyone been using these and what are your experiences, vis a vis our lifestyle? We have friends who've had the pump installed and I'm leaning in that direction, if my medical plan will pay for it. I particularly concerned about having to inject myself prior to play time in a party setting.
