Original Starting post for this thread:
On July 4th I was diagnosed with pancreatitis. Wasn't severe enough to be hospitalized, but the pain really sucked. So for the past 4 weeks I've been on a soup diet. So far I've lost about 14lbs. and still dropping. I don't have an appointment to see a specialist till the 19th of September, so I'm stuck on the soup diet for a while longer. Anyone with some words of wisdom about this please let me know.

That is nothing to screw around with. If you ruin your pancreas you will wind up being an insulin dependent diabetic. I would be raising hell to get that appointment asap! Call that specialist and ask to be put on the cancelations replacement list. Good luck and take care. In case you don't know it, this is a very serious medical issue.
