Merry Meet Diamond, Me and the misses have been craft for 25 years and never kept that from anyone. Raised our kids in our religion, it made for some interesting comments from the teachers on "back to school night". Was never "open" about our lifestyle though, figured we didn't need that on top of everything else. Now that the kids are adult, our friends know, and it cereates some interesting conversations

Steve, agreed on discretion!! If someone asks me directly if Jay and I are in the lifestyle I'll say politely yes, we are. I am not ashamed of who we are rather....rather, I am PROUD that we are able to actually be honest and open in who we are. But I do not advertise it, no. Would anyone be surprised, knowing me? Nope lol. But its just no one's business in what Jay and I do in our bedroom or hotel room, or on the massage table at the club, or on the floor......lol

DiamondGirl,
I totally agree with all the posters saying that you need to be true to yourself. We all know it but it is worth repeating: this is a totally acceptable thing to do even if not everybody accepts it. You don't need to hide who you are. You don't need to lie about yourself. At the same time, you don't need to say everything that's on your mind. Its not dishonest not to make a sexy comment in a vanilla situation or to change the subject in a work situation instead of opening up. A little discretion goes a long way and is not the same as being in the closet! |

Diamond,
Unfortunately when some people enter swinging they bring all of their issues, closed minded beliefs, prejudices, etc. etc. and etc. with them. Be YOU. Talk to Scotty, he doesnt give a shit what people think of him lol. Mwah Scotty, Shelly |

DG,
I agree... People that are that critical of things they don't agree with are typically people you don't want to be hanging out with anyway. You know the old saying "opinions are like assholes"! Mr P. |

Diamond,
I suggest keeping the two worlds seperate if it bothers you so much. We are NOT closet swingers, we don't really care who knows. Just last week we have a vanilla friend that was giving the mrs shit about being a lifestyle couple. I nearly dropped my shorts when she told our friend, "at least we're upfront about our desires unlike you and your husband having affairs." Ended the discussion quickly. |

DiamondGirl....sometimes the vanilla world refuses to understand what we enjoy in this lifestyle. Some senseible advice for you would be to keep your vanilla world and your lifestyle world separate. In a perfect world it shouldn't matter, but people are just so inhibited and feel they have to conform because of jobs, families and other pressures.
Have fun and "PLAY SAFE" Frank |
