Take the rider safety course and try not to ride in conditions you are not comfortable with. In time you will get used to it.

I wanted to do the safety course but with my work schedule constantly changing i could not commit to the class.

sometimes my line of work really screws things up.

being blown into another lane was exactly what i was concerned about with the oncoming traffic.

Thanks for all the replies.

i do ride as safe as can be and did slow down when the winds were hitting me to a speed i felt comfortable with plus i do go at my own pace even though other riders are going faster i just let them go.

if they want to fly at excessive speeds thats their choice.

almost lost it for the first time when i was turning and came across some gravel. good thing i was paying attention or i could have scratched up the bike and myself.

BTW i have a 96 Honda Knight Hawk 750 with just 8,000 miles never been dumped or at least not any signs of ever having been dumped.
