Now, AS A GENERAL RULE, meaning anyone can find situations that are 180 degrees from what I am going to say and some will know of situations that are "right on." As a general rule, the MOBs (Mail Order Brides) are from poor countries and they are in a dead end economical situation; many from the Asian countries have one child and to the last will tell you they were engaged and the child's father was killed in an accident or whatever; it's a stock story they are all taught. They will come to the country, but only after you have visited them once in their home country (legal requirement for you to marry them);then you go thru a 2-4 months process to get them into the country and you agree to be financially responsible for them while here. Now you can marry them here; the marriage outside of the U.S. isn't considered valid as there is I believe, some presumption against validity. You will need either a K-1 (fiancee) or K-2 Visa to get her here. Nonimmigrant visa for fiancé(e) (K-1). You will also need an I-129F fiancé(e) petition is required. For two years, they will be close to perfect wives, and that is because within that two years, if the government believes the marriage isn't "real," they can be deported. During that two years however, they MAY look to get pregnant and have your baby, because, the baby is an American citizen and even though the mother is not, the U.S. government won't deport the mother of a child of "tender years." Of course they will deport her if you will take the child or relinquish all parental rights and allow the child to go for adoption; at that point, the mother who is being deported may opt to take the child w/her. So two years pass and she hasn't had a child, but she now want out so goes for a divorce/dissolution; no problem though, you got a pre-nup, but it's probably worth it's weight in toilet paper. Why? She didn't understand it when she signed it and you weren't smart enough to have a court certified interpreter read it to her in the presence of a notary and have her sign it, AND get a sworn statement from the Interpreter. I studied this area of U.S. Federal law for about 6-months and it is fascinating; the highway of MOB love is strewn with the empty wallets of men who wanted that MOB who was 20-30 years their junior and a perfect trophy wife, and probably great in bed. BTW: I know none of this from personal experience thankyouverymuch. And lastly kiddies, I know of one Lifestyle couple where the man imported the MOB to be a Lifestyle partner for a specified period and then she is free to do her thing; has worked out well to date. Remember, above is IMHO and worth what you pay for it. Carpe Diem
