Original Starting post for this thread:
I have a classic 1970 Chevrolet C-10 pic up truck that I am wanting to restore. I have gotten the old straight 6 (250 hp I THINK) to run and the old gas tank cleaned out. Next I plan to replace the floor pans and rocker covers(?). I have looked at several places on line for resources for parts but was wondering if any of you have done anything like this and if so could you guide me to some other places to consider for my parts? Seems prices vary greatly amongst the classic car sites and I need to do this as cost effective as possible! This will be a daily driving work in progress as soon as I can get it road worthy.

Well first off it is not a 250 horse straight 6 you have it is a 250 cubic inch str8 6 and they are great lil motors if you fix them up a little and know how to tune them. as far as parts go i always try to stick too stock for restore and aftermarket for performance, stock i would go too opg and performance too jegs.......

Look through a Hemmings Motor News, (or online) it has many ads for restoration resources and services. LMC truck parts is worth checking out too. The 70-72 Chevy is one of the best looking pickups ever IMO
