My current go to's are Red Stag and Maker's Mark. I know Red Stag is especially commercial, but I really like the taste. Red Stag I like with a splash of Sprite. Maker's Mark I like to enjoy the same way I do my scotch... neat. |

Although I'm not much of a Bourbon guy, I wanted to chime in for Woodford Reserve as well.
I guess it's the corn base that puts me off, but that taste is much less prominent with Woodford. ...or am I just crazy? PG, Vodka? Wouldn't that make you Rooski-girl then? ;) hehe |

We're dipping our toes into the forum pool and seeing how the water feels. Wait. When's the last time this has been cleaned?!? (*JK*) Also, apparently I was a bit too quick on the "Submit" button. Hubby had some additional info. Weekly: Woodford Reserve Mixer: Virginia Gentleman (because, according to him, why waste good bourbon if you are masking the majority of the taste anyway. Still, it's decent... not great, but decent) Thanks again for the warm welcome! |
