I just can't imagine having a meet and greet without face pic's, phone conversation and/or web cam meet and greet. We've been asked to do it and just said no if your that paranoid and we've gotten to this point of talking on the phone maybe we aren't a match after all.

I'm interested in the rest of the story from the OP. Was the date a bust, did you have a good time anyway? It's doesn't read to me that you are 100 % positive that you got baited and switched and it's more of a hunch then fact.

Did you mention the accent phone voice thing to the person while in person? If no just curious why not?

Rings, we also meet the first time in a club or bar where there's a band and a lot of activity that we can enjoy with or without the people we're meeting. It makes for a good, no pressure first meeting, and that way, if no one hits it off, then nothing is lost, even time. We'll go out to karaoke, or hear a blues band, etc., and there are usually other couples with us, or at least one other, that we already know. If someone wants to meet more privately than that, then we do want to know more about them. It's a time investment, and time is precious. I would also suggest meeting for coffee, or brunch, instead of dinner always. We met in San Antonio for drinks with a couple (you know who you are!!!) and then went from there, and they had to get back at a certain time, so if they didn't "like us," they had an easy out, and nothing lost. We did also meet a couple who were NOTHING like their pics. I think that's happened to most on here. Gina and Dan

wow what an experience. We have meet couples without a face picture but than we do not have a problem saying they look different in their pictures and not interested. That is just a gamble we take. Note: We do not go out of our way to meet couples without seeing a face picture first. Usually it is a place we were going to anyways that night

and I thought our experience with BAIT and switch was bad......

talked with a couple online, sent them RECENT pics of us and they returned pics..... after a 4 hour drive we met them AND their "entire" family plus their children.......both had gained about 40 pounds and both had BLACK stubs where their teeth used to be...........

oh yeah they made it a point that his parents were swingers and that his mother is bisexual like his wife.....................

guess they were tryin to expand the family TREE.....................................
