Booking is when you soak the paper, and you let the back of it where the wet glue is make contact with itself to help activate it.
If you've ever made "flowers" using toilet paper, you keep alternating folding back and forth, sort of an "s" pattern... that's what they call booking (sort of making a book). Make sure the glue on the back makes contact with other glue parts... Just don't press on the folded edges... you don't want it marked. Let it sit a few minutes and that helps the glue activate better. |

funlovin,
Thanks. The original due date was Jan. 6th. My wife now has gestational diabetes, so her Dr. says he will most likely come early. It sounds like the Dr. is leaning toward a c-section sometime in December. |

Yes, removing wallpaper is a pain. I've done that before. I have a small heat gun that I bought to remove paint and I also used that on the wallpaper.
TIP: Don't try to use a heat gun to melt wax that dripped on a carpet. The carpet also melts. D'oh! There's a picture of the wallpaper border. |

you can also get a steamer to do it at most tool rental centers @ 25- 50.00 per day , and it is relatively easy but it can be very time consuming as well messy, and after removal walls at times need a few extra steps before re painitng
that is why wall paper though still avilable does not tend to be used as much as opposed to some of the faux finishes and texturing techniques seen on walls these days at a fraction of the cost |

Tip for removing the border - We found out quite by accident if you spray it with water and let it soak a few minutes it'll peal right off. At least ours did.

You think putting it up was a pain in the butt just wait until you have to take it down major pain. I will not put up wallpaper, painting is so much simpler.

I got the wallpaper done. Thanks for the tips. They helped, but it still wasn't an easy job. Had trouble keeping it in line with the ceiling and there are a couple of places where the edges didn't stick and they are slightly loose. My wife says I am the only one that will ever notice. All in all it turned out well for my first attempt.
