My husband and I are brand new to the lifestyle. We have been interested for quite some time and decided to take the plunge on a house swingers party. When we showed up, we were given a quick tour and we decided to kind of watch to see how things kind of went. We went swimming in the pool for a bit and tried the hot tub. We decided we wanted to start mingling with others and tried to start up several conversations with many people. Although no was outwardly nasty, we began to get feel that everyone was standoffish. We took a table next to the grill for some food and an older guy decided to strike a conversation up which was an awesome as we have been trying all afternoon/evening. He asked us who got who into this and typical small talk. Then he said well just to let you know just because we are talking doesnt mean him or his wife wants to fuck us. I was put off from that.
We ended up only playing with each other that night but after trying to talk to another couple later on and the girl straight turns her back to us, I was done and ready to leave. We did have fun the two of us and decided maybe we should give it another go. We tried twice to request a reservation and this place is invite of the homeowners only. We have not been invited back despite the requests and now I have a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended) of this entire lifestyle. Are most parties like this and tend to be cliquish?
