User Details are only visible to members.	Have been to and hosted house parties (prefer hosting) and I don't think you have any worries. Dress appropriately and HAVE FUN! The only things to watch out for: 1. make sure you pay attention to the wives there, so you're not just "after" their husbands. You'll get a good vibe on who wants to have fun with a single female and who does not. 2. go with no expectation other than having a good time and meeting some new people for future fun (that way you're not disappointed) 3. You WILL be sought after. YOU decide what and whom you'd like to do. Don't ever feel pressured. You have every right to say no, or to turn down person/people or situations that you don't want to try. ENJOY yourself. You are not the hired help here. You don't "owe" anyone anything. 4. Be you. Be comfortable in what you wear, and who you are, and just be your sexy self. Have a good time! Gina

Yes KD, I always send a welcome email to any new attendees and have met a few ahead of time for drinks so they can ask questions and feel more comfortable walking in. My group page also includes a general list of rules and guidelines of what happens and what to expect at my parties. As with any other aspect of this LS, communication is key. Talk to the hosts, maybe meet ahead of time and then relax and enjoy!

When I had opened my account, I felt like a piece of fresh meat thrown out there to the vultures. Do not let that intimidate you! You will receive more than your fair share of one liners, senseless messages from horny guys and couples, requests for your pictures and so on. Hell, I still do, not nearly as much though, thank goodness, lol. A little insider tip: Single women are in high demand in the lifestyle, so you can play on your terms. Yes, being a single woman in the lifestyle does have its advantages, lol. You can be as picky as you want. You should be. Hell, everyone should be! Trust your gut. In my case, my gut feeling is always right. When venturing out, I often let my trusted lifestyle friends know, where and with whom I will be, and I always call them afterwards to let them know I am alive and kicking, lol. Going to the private party can be tricky. I, myself, do not like them. I have been to a few, and while I was not pushed to do something I was not comfortable doing, the general atmosphere was seriously sexed up. Yes, these parties are sex parties, but sex is neither a requirement, nor a guarantee. Talking to the host is something I would do, so I would know, what to expect. I would ask, how many folks know each other from previous gatherings, if any. Is there lots of sex involved, or is it mainly to meet new people to arrange play dates later? Is there any donation or door charge? Do the hosts provide snacks and mixers for drinks? HOW MANY BATHROOMS? Hey, don't laugh, while at one party, couple was going at it in the master bedroom and they closed the door, so the master bathroom was not accesible at the time, which left the crowd with one bathroom only, and with about 8 guys having to go like "RIGHT NOW!!!" it was hilarious in a way, lol. You do not have to do anything and it will still be fine. Alcohol is best in moderation, or skipped altogether. I do not drink, and I am perfectly capable of having tons of fun! So, go to the party, enjoy hanging out, meeting new people, and remember these lifestyle rules: 1. You have the pussy, so you make the rules. Yep, lifestyle is driven mainly by women and what they are comfortable with, lol. 2. "No" really means "no"! I wish you lots of great times in your sexy adventures! Lots of fun is to be had, just stay true to your desires and fantasies. Be patient (you will need lots of patience, lol), be careful, and HAVE FUN!

User Details are only visible to members.	Nic, I get the impression that some people or those who are new to hosting parties may not be that helpful. Do you agree that it is not only okay, but important to talk to the host beforehand to find out what kind of party it is intended to be? I think new people feel very awkward doing that, (which I have , but spoke to them anyway about it) Are there some basic questions that would be helpful to know to ask to make it easier? ...and especially for a single female! To be honest, if I were a single female, I don't think I could walk into a home alone at all, without having had met some of the people somewhere (M&G or something) and already had a fairly good opinion of them, and like I said, already know what I could expect when i got there.

I'm sure your hosts will do the same and as for what to expect, you may find that many will shy away at first, not wanting to scare or intimidate you. I always tell first time guests to relax and treat it like any other cocktail party. Talk, flirt with those who interest you, don't drink too much (don't want to regret a drunk decision) and only play if you want to. Never feel obligated to play just because it's a swinger party. Enjoy, have fun and report back how it went!

Welcome to the forums New_Chick! :) I haven't been to house parties, but I do know that a good house party, the host's should already know a little about everyone invited and hopefully has matched the group up well as far as compatible preferences. Some are expected to play, and some are not. I do think smaller parties have the tendency to expect play. You should feel free to ask the host's what you could expect. Shoot them an email. It would be best if they sound like they have done this before successfully, and they know that you are new to it. You have to be careful being a SF, don't be afraid to do some homework! Always stay safe. :)
