This weekend I travelled over 200 miles from home for a vacation and to visit an on premise club in another state. While socializing, I mentioned I was retire military and my pretty dance partner says you need to meet my Mister, he is retired military too. We chat and he is retired from the same branch. Chat more, his training/specialty is the same as mine. Things are a bit ironic at this point, but it gets better! Further conversation reveals we live 10 miles apart 200 miles from the club. Buckle your seatbelts race fans, we discuss what we do for work post retirement and learn we both work for the same large company. When he mentioned his exact work location, I spit my drink out! On Thursday, we worked 100 feet apart, in the same building, on the same job! What are the odds?
Instead of being nervous about our discoveries, we were extremely elated! It’s a small world out there sometimes.
