Actually, this is a very complex question. There are so many dynamics to be considered. Is the man way too touchy-feely considering he and the woman have been just introduced, or have they been talking and enjoying each other's company for several hours? Is the man touching an arm, a shoulder, her hair, or is he touching someplace more intimate? Is the touching unwelcome by the woman or is it only the husband that does not like it?

It is hard to give a correct answer when there are so many questions.

As far as a slap to the face, it is warranted if the person makes a surprise move to touch another in an inappropriate way. It becomes a self-defensive move under that circumstance. However, I think it is just as egregious to slap someone in the face just because a touch (non-sexual) is unwelcome. Stern words and a firm push are more appropriate.

I would say that any unwanted touching is inappropriate at any time. No means no. Pretty simple really. But then there are many idiots in this world and sometimes they have to be set straight. Perhaps the lady should touch the offending party with a well placed slap. Just my opinion, but isn't respect a major factor here?
