I do not not agree with the statements indicating if you have to think about spending a $100 you should not be swinging. The ability to swing has nothing to do with ones ability to spend money without concern.

Depending on the encounter, e.g., meet at a dance, or it is planned encounter, each couple or single should be offering to take share in the costs of the room. Now given I said that whatever is agreed upon after the initial offer to share in the room cost is a case by case basis. For us the only exception for paying the entire room costs is if we already planned to get a hotel room and we request a couple to join us.

I agree, and if it's something you really have to worry a lot about, then you cannot afford the swing lifestyle. I thnk that's why you see more couples in their 40s here, when kids are grown, money is more secure, etc.

Ettiquitte would say the one asking out should pay, unless discussed before hand. if you did not have the money to make this a nonissue, I don't think you'd be mentioning it now. In this event and to remove any future misunderstandings, you might ask them about the financial arrangements for the entire evening These kinds of issues can be hindrances, but honesty, between all concerned, more often then not removes them entirely. The males impotence has no factor in the equation, as he wasn't hiring you as a stud for a brooding mare, you were a means to an ends only, that being his giving his wife a pleasurable sexual encounter.

I say do whatever you want.
If you don't mind paying, pay for the room. But if your gutt is telling you this is wrong, tell the other couple you would be willing to split the cost of the room.

Personally I think this coupe is rude and I wouldn't be bothered.

What a rude comment! I might have responded, "If I wanted to pay someone for sex, I wouldn't be swinging ... I'd be driving up and down OBT."

Or maybe, "If you want to attend the show, buy a ticket."

Now normally that's not my philosophy ... but I don't do well with rudeness :)

But in terms of who pays and when ... I look at it from the "date" perspective; we either agree to go dutch (if they offer) or we pick up the bill if we're the ones "asking them out". On the flip side, we always offer to kick in our fair share when "asked out".

I'm still floored at how rude his response was though ...

"I'm sure what triggered his outburst was his flustration with his impotency."

Why are you sure?

BTW - check the advice and 3some forums, I think this has been or is being discussed.
